The Green Mile is an Academy award-nominated film from director Frank Darabont. It’s set on death row, where criminal John Coffey, played by Michael Clarke Duncan, has been sentenced for the murders of two innocent girls, but his kind demeanor doesn't seem to fit the mold of a killer.
The prison guard, played by Tom Hanks, soon discovers that Coffey seems to have supernatural powers of healing and tries to save the condemned man from execution.
