New Tampa Performing Arts Center

New Tampa Performing Arts Center is where the arts can be enjoyed, celebrated, and taught – enriching the lives of people in the community. Built alongside nature preserves, the 20,000-square-foot facility houses a 354-seat multipurpose theater with a large stage and elaborate sound and lighting systems, complete with an orchestra pit for captivating musical and theatrical performances.

A state-of-the art projection system and screen allow for showings of livestreamed special events, children's films, and independent films not available elsewhere. The center is also equipped with four multipurpose studios with high ceilings and suspended dance floors for rehearsals, lessons, and more.

At New Tampa Performing Arts Center, visitors of all ages can explore and enjoy the arts through educational programs and theatre, dance, and arts events.

The center is available to rent for your special events, weddings, and conferences. Learn more about rental opportunities. New Tampa Performing Arts Center opened to the public in 2023 and is owned and operated by Hillsborough County.

Meet the Team

  • Keith Lawrence Arsenault

    MANAGER

    Keith Lawrence Arsenault has served on the staff of The Joffrey Ballet, the Opera Company of Boston, Palm Beach Opera, and Nacional Ballet de Colombia, and as general manager of the record-breaking San Francisco production of Cloud 9 among other assignments that have taken him to 45 states and across Canada and Latin America. His recent design work encompasses more than 45 St. Petersburg Opera productions including Susannah, Into the Woods, Cosi Fan Tutte, Carmen, A Little Night Music, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Sweeney Todd, and many more. Arsenault’s design work has been on display at American Stage Company, Gorilla Theatre, Stageworks, Palm Beach Opera, Symphony Space, Dinosaur Space, and Teatro Colon in Bogota, Colombia, among others.

    Additionally, he has provided production, management, design, and consulting services for more than 40 years and produced CIRCUS NEXUS, which toured to performing arts centers across the country. In 2014 and 2015, Arsenault served as a stage manager for the Youth American Grand Prix Gala of Stars featuring dancers from The Bolshoi, The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet.

    Arsenault holds degrees in arts management and music and has taught stage management and lighting design on the university level. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Florida Dance Association and was selected by former Florida Secretary of State Sandra Mortham to serve as a member of the dance panel for the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs. He also served on the Hillsborough Arts Council and is a member of UNESCO’s International Dance Council and The United States Institute for Theatre Technology. Arsenault most recently served as theatre manager for Hillsborough Community College.

  • Megan Harris

    SENIOR SUPERVISOR

    Megan Harris is a passionate arts administrator who holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in arts management and art history from the College of Charleston. Throughout her career, she held roles in marketing, front-of-house and volunteer management, and fundraising and development at diverse cultural organizations including FringeArts and TILT institute for the Contemporary Image in Philadelphia, as well as the Savannah Music Festival. Harris joined the New Tampa Performing Arts Center after having most recently served as director of development at American Stage Theatre Company in St. Petersburg.

  • Jeff Boe

    THEATRE TECHNICAL COORDINATOR

    Jeff Boe is a lighting, sound, and scenic designer with design credits from Key West to Kennebunkport. He studied at the University of South Florida, earning a bachelor’s degree in theatre design and a master’s degree in art history with a research focus on Puerto Rican Impressionism. Boe centered his career on production management at the University of South Florida, Ruth Eckerd Hall, and Florida Southern College, where he managed backstage operations for auditoriums, theatres, and concert halls.

    Boe is also an experienced arts educator having taught technical theatre for Hillsborough County Public Schools, Hillsborough Community College, and the University of South Florida, as well as art history at Florida Southern College. Additionally, he served as a contract designer for local arts groups like Moving Current Dance Collective, Florida Dance Theatre, and the Lakeland Opera.
