New Tampa Unplugged: La Lucha Celebrates Jazz Appreciation Month
La Lucha returns to the New Tampa Unplugged stage for Jazz Appreciation Month!
New Tampa Unplugged is a spin on the hit show, MTV Unplugged, which aired in the 1990s and early 2000s and featured popular artists of the time performing acoustic sets. The series presents acoustic performances by notable Tampa Bay musicians, and the theater is transformed into a unique, living-room-style venue with candlelit cabaret seating.
The prominent Tampa Bay jazz trio is consistently evolving and surprising their audiences with re-imagined, genre-shifting arrangements. La Lucha’s Unplugged concert will celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month, fondly known as “JAM,” with an appealing mix of genres under the jazz umbrella. A combination of diverse cultural roots along with their versatility and varied musical influences make for a compelling virtuosic performance.
