New Tampa Performing Arts Center, Tampa Jazz Club, and the USF School of Music Present Alexis Cole and the USF Jazz Ensemble 1
The USF New Tampa Jazz Series presents Alexis Cole with the USF Jazz Ensemble I. As one of the most dynamic singers on the current scene, Alexis is featured regularly at the top clubs and concert halls. She’s also busy as an educator and creating jazz outreach projects. For several years, Alexis was the vocalist with the US Army Jazz Knights.
This concert will include the exciting big band arrangements from her highly-acclaimed new album, Sky Blossoms: Songs From My Tour of Duty. The album reflects the repertoire created for her to sing with 18 piece big band during her time as the vocalist for the Army’s Jazz Knights.
