With music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In The Heights follows Usnavi, a bodega owner who longs to go back to his native Dominican Republic. In the meantime, he spends his time in the vibrant New York City neighborhood of Washington Heights where he and his friends dream, hope, and work for a bright future.
During the song Carnaval Del Barrio, NTPAC invites the audience to bring their own flags and "alza la bandera" or raise the flag with Usnavi and his friends!
